Our Thanks to Amazing Teachers - an $11,000 Classroom Makeover

The Schools In 12 Days of Teachers is underway, our annual Facebook contest that honors teachers by awarding daily prizes.

Like in years past, teachers answer a question at the start of the contest. This year’s question is, “What three qualities make you a great teacher?” A teacher is chosen each day from the comments, with the winners of Day 1 through 11 each receiving a $25 Visa gift card.

AmTab has once again provided our Grand Prize on Day 12 – a desk and chair package valued at over $11,000. Included are 24 of the popular ErgoEngage Chairs and 24 Northridge Desks, which are adjustable to fit a variety of students. Both the chairs and the desks can be customized with a wide selection of colors available.

Our 2024 Grand Prize winner, Chris Sharp, a teacher at Beverly Manor School in Illinois, chose red and blue accents to match his classroom décor – and his favorite baseball team. We checked in with Sharp this month and he complimented the high quality of the furniture.

“I really like the furniture and chairs,” Sharp said. “They seem built well and sturdy. My students like that the chairs are smooth and don't have any holes to catch their hair.” The ErgoEngage Chairs have a one-piece polypropylene design with no exposed rivets that are often seen in other school chairs.

“I love being able to customize the colors,” said Sharp, a St. Louis Cardinals fan. “Red and blue are my favorite colors.”

Each ErgoEngage Chair has a textured seat with small vents that provide an air cushion effect and breathability. Students stay comfortable throughout the school day. The chairs also have a unique, subtle wave and honeycomb pattern that adds to overall appeal.

The Northridge Desk provides a durable, stylish worksurface for students of all ages. Students can study independently, or multiple desks can be pushed together into rows or learning pods. Each desk adjusts in height from 22" to 34" and comes with a protective Dyna-Rock 100 percent polyurethane edge that seals out moisture, preventing warping of the desktop core.
