Headquartered in Tokyo, Canon Inc. produced Japan’s first 35 mm camera in the 1930s. Canon opened a New York office in 1955, successfully expanding into the American market. In the 1960s Canon introduced the the world’s first 10-key electronic calculator, dubbed the ‘Canola 130.’
