Founded in 1951, Texas Instruments engineered the world’s first transistor radio in 1954 and the first integrated circuit in 1958. This Dallas, Texas-based company went on to introduce the handheld calculator in 1967 and followed with several innovative scientific models. Their TI-30 scientific calculator has been a high school classroom fixture for more than four decades.

Texas Instruments holds more than 45,000 patents worldwide. Analog chips and embedded processors now account for more than 80% of the company’s revenue.
