Established as an ironworks in 1649, Fiskars produced nails, knives, hoes and iron wheels during its early beginnings. After centuries of growth and change, Fiskars began mass production of scissors at the end of World War II. In 1967 the company manufactured the world's first plastic-handled scissors. Fiskars' orange-handled scissors remain one of their best-known products.
Today, this Finnish company is a global supplier of scissors, gardening tools, knives and more.
