Joseph Dixon founded the Dixon Ticonderoga Company nearly 200 years ago in Salem, Massachusetts. The yellow No. 2 Ticonderoga pencil was introduced in 1913, quickly becoming a favorite among teachers and students. Today Dixon manufactures a variety of pencil and office products. This global company is now headquartered in Lake Mary, Florida.
